KRC Introduces 'Labor Director System'... Hyun Kwang-soo Appointed as First Director

[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Kim Hyewon] Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on the 1st that it has introduced the labor director system from the perspective of workers' participation in management and win-win labor-management management, and appointed Director Hyun Gwangsoo as the first labor director. The term of office is two years from this day until November 30, 2024.

Director Hyun was born in 1965 and has been working at the corporation for 32 years. He is currently serving at the Anseong branch of the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters. He has also been active as the chairman of the corporation's labor union in the Gyeonggi region and as a non-standing vice chairman.

The labor director represents the opinions of all employees working at the corporation and plays a role in labor-management coexistence. In particular, as a member of the management, he participates in the board of directors and exercises the right to speak and vote to reflect the voices from the field in management.

Since 2020, the corporation has implemented the 'Management Committee Labor Union Observation System,' which allows labor union executives to attend the management committee, a decision-making body prior to the board of directors, and exercise the right to speak. This year, based on the establishment of a legal foundation, the corporation appointed a labor director for the first time.

Director Hyun said, "As the first labor director of the corporation, I will lead cooperation and coexistence between workers and management with a sense of responsibility and mission," adding, "I will do my best to realize transparent management, responsible management, and win-win labor-management management of the corporation."
