[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Medical information platform company Hudadak announced on the 1st that it has launched ‘Hudadak Care,’ a non-face-to-face medical service centered on follow-up patients.

Hudadak is a medical information platform that uses its own platform to provide useful information about health and medical care and helps communication between medical consumers and medical professionals. It has built a database containing the latest information on more than 70,000 medical institutions and 40,000 medical staff nationwide, offering convenient features such as ‘Find Nearby Hospitals and Pharmacies’ and ‘Health Q&A.’

Hudadak Care is a service that allows patients who have previously visited medical institutions for treatment to receive follow-up treatment remotely through a non-face-to-face platform as needed or due to circumstances.

The company explained that it designed the service focusing on clinic-level medical institutions by referring to recently socially discussed non-face-to-face medical service guidelines and partial amendments to the Medical Service Act. In particular, it stated that in cases where the necessity is recognized, such as patients living in islands and remote areas, patients residing abroad, patients in welfare and correctional facilities, and treatment and management of infectious disease patients, non-face-to-face medical care can be utilized to improve accessibility and equity of medical services.

It also mentioned that considering the importance of the role of pharmacies and pharmacists, another pillar of the domestic medical system, and the purpose of the Pharmacist Act such as preventing misuse and abuse, it established the principle of direct receipt allowing medication counseling by experts such as pharmacists instead of ordering and delivering pharmaceuticals.

Seungsu Kim, CEO of Hudadak, said, “We plan to listen to the voices of medical consumers and related experts and reflect them in the planning, operation, and improvement of the service,” adding, “We will strive to contribute to the promotion of public health and activation of medical services through communication and cooperation with relevant authorities and expert organizations.”
