[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] NS Home Shopping announced on the 1st that it has relocated its Food Safety Research Institute to the Harim Central Research Institute facility and held an opening ceremony for the 'NS Shopping Food Safety Research Institute.'
The NS Home Shopping Food Safety Research Institute, a nationally accredited research institute, was established in 2004 and has been operating to supply consumers with safe and consistent agricultural, marine, livestock products, processed foods, and cosmetics. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, it conducts over 50 types of tests including antibiotics, ginsenoside, and microbial inspections, and has established rapid verification methods such as origin determination for red pepper powder and pork, implementing stringent quality control.
Through this opening, NS Home Shopping expects a synergy effect in strengthening food quality within the group through collaboration with the Harim Central Research Institute.
Jo Hang-mok, CEO of NS Home Shopping, stated, “We plan to upgrade to a corporate-affiliated research institute to participate in domestic research service projects and be designated as a military service exception company, aiming to enhance the institute’s human resources and research capabilities.”
