Sparkling Wine Sales Increased 16-Fold in December Last Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Seven Eleven announced on the 1st that it will hold the largest-ever "2022 Year-End Final Wine Sanctuary Exhibition" ahead of the year-end.

This event was planned after a year of preparation and features a champagne event with the largest quantity in Korea, along with carefully selected famous wines from around the world including Italy, Spain, and Australia. Approximately 50 differentiated champagnes and wines are prepared, ranging from cost-effective daily wines to winter season wines.

In particular, a limited edition champagne, Pomery Heart Edition, available only at Seven Eleven, will be sold. This wine, used as the congratulatory drink at the wedding of Monaco's Grace Kelly and gaining worldwide attention, is characterized by being made from the finest grapes produced in the vineyards of the Reims region, considered the heart of the Champagne production area. According to Seven Eleven, sparkling wine sales in December last year increased more than 16 times compared to the previous month.

Popular wines include Macho Man, introduced at the Spanish exhibition in September, and eight products introduced through the Shiraz exhibition in July. You can also find 16 types of cost-effective daily wines and season-limited wines.

Seven Eleven offers a 20% discount when paying with Kakao Pay Money and a 30% discount when paying with KB Pay from Friday to Sunday this month. For 11 popular wines of the month, you can purchase them at a 20% discounted price when paying with BC Card.

A Seven Eleven official said, "This exhibition was carefully prepared over a long period of one year, aiming to hit the tastes of all wine lovers. We have prepared a variety of wines including the champagne that caused an open-run phenomenon last year-end," and added, "This year, we have prepared the largest-ever quantity and assortment so that everyone who wants can purchase, so we hope you plan a romantic wine party with Seven Eleven."
