Four Candidate Sites for New Office... Selection Based on Evaluation Criteria and On-Site Inspection
The Site Selection Committee for the construction of the new Gangwon Province government building conducted an on-site inspection of the candidate sites on the 30th. [Gangwon-do]
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province announced on the 30th that it held the "4th Gangwon Province New Government Building Site Selection Committee" and completed an on-site inspection of the candidate sites for the new government building.
The committee members directly visited each candidate site to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each location as well as the surrounding conditions in preparation for the upcoming evaluations.
The inspection started from the former Camp Page site, followed by the former Agricultural Technology Center site, the Norumok Reservoir area, and the Dongnae-myeon area in sequence. However, the current government building site was excluded from the inspection as the committee members already had a high level of understanding of the location.
Based on the evaluation criteria established at the 3rd committee meeting and the findings from this on-site inspection, the committee plans to conduct in-depth discussions to select the optimal candidate site.
Kim Han-su, Director of the Provincial Planning and Coordination Office, stated, "Having completed the evaluation criteria and on-site inspection, we will do our best to ensure that the committee produces the best possible outcome."
