The Gyeongnam Headquarters of the movement, a nationwide campaign organized by Christian Broadcasting CTS, appointed Lee Kyung-eun, Chairperson of the Gyeongnam Christian Council, as the head of the headquarters at the launching ceremony, who will lead the movement.
On the day, the head of the headquarters presented appointment letters to 31 advisory and committee members and decided to take the lead in campaigns and other birth encouragement activities centered around local churches.
The head stated, “Our country is facing a serious population cliff crisis with the lowest birthrate of 0.81 among OECD countries,” and added, “Local churches have decided to actively promote birth encouragement campaigns in line with the government’s low birthrate countermeasures.”
She continued, “First, churches will take the lead in expanding childcare facilities and conducting anti-abortion campaigns.”
The Gyeongnam Headquarters of the movement plans to establish feasible action plans to unite efforts so that our society can support the next generation.
