[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Tilon, a cloud virtualization specialist company, donated 100 million KRW as an endowment fund to Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) on the 30th to support scholarship funds and improve the educational environment.


Founded in 2001 as Korea's first virtualization company, Tilon donated cloud PC equipment worth 5.5 billion KRW to Gyeongnam Information University in August this year, followed by an additional 100 million KRW endowment fund donation.


Choi Baek-jun, CEO of Tilon, said, "We will do our best to continuously support the creation of a cloud virtual campus that Gyeongnam Information University students can use regardless of time and place, and to nurture innovative talents in core new technology fields such as AI, blockchain, cloud, big data, and metaverse."


He added, "We will also operate recruitment programs to contribute to the development of IT in Busan."


Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, said, "I sincerely thank Tilon, a specialized company, for providing great help in line with the establishment of our university's Cloud Systems Department," and added, "The donated endowment fund will be used valuably to foster cloud technology experts."
