Boseong-gun Hosts 2022 Youth Policy Proposal Talk Concert

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeonnam Boseong-gun announced that on the 28th, it held the '2022 Boseong Youth Policy Proposal Talk Concert' at the 4th-floor conference room of Boseong-gun Office, providing an opportunity to discuss with youths the development of county administration.

The talk concert was hosted by Boseong Office of Education and organized by the Boseong Student Union, with about 150 attendees including Kim Cheol-woo, Governor of Boseong-gun, Im Yong-min, Chairman of Boseong County Council, Jeon Hee, Superintendent of Boseong Office of Education, and students.

The talk concert began with an explanation of the progress on policy proposals suggested by youths last year, followed by a policy presentation session where students directly proposed fresh and diverse ideas discovered through student council activities at 34 schools in the area.

The students developed their awareness of inconveniences experienced in daily life into problems and prepared solutions and alternatives to propose as policies.

The policies proposed that day included ▲ development of a public app for safe return home to ensure the safety of Boseong youths, ▲ activation of the Boseong 100-won Happiness Taxi, ▲ establishment of a space exclusively for youths, and ▲ ‘Iriosso Boseong-euro’ containing population policy measures for Boseong.

After the policy presentations, there was a free communication session in a Q&A format where students shared their questions about overall county administration.

Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “Our county makes great efforts every year to support education-related projects to improve educational conditions and realize educational welfare, serving as a solid stepping stone for the future of our students. We will carefully review the valuable policy proposals from students and actively strive to reflect them in county administration.”

The Boseong Student Union is composed of representatives from student councils of 34 elementary, middle, and high schools, sharing student self-governance activities and school-specific autonomous activities, and practicing policy sharing based on the local community.
