[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province announced on the 30th that it will carry out the 'Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign' until January 31 next year.
The 'Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign' is a nationwide neighborly love movement that raises funds to help neighbors in need spend a warm winter by forming a sense of community with neighbors through sharing and creating an active sharing atmosphere.
It aims to expand the base of individual donations and encourage a culture of giving, and will continue for 62 days from the 1st of next month until January 31 next year.
This year, the campaign is conducted under the slogan "Sharing Together, Sustainable Future," and the fundraising target is set at 355 million won, the same as last year, considering the difficult economic situation due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
During the campaign period, the Love Temperature rises by 1 degree each time 3.55 million won is collected, and when the fundraising target of 355 million won is reached, the Love Temperature will achieve 100 degrees.
The donations will be used carefully for neighbors in low-income groups or blind spots of welfare within the region, vulnerable social welfare institutions and facilities, and other places in need of help.
Citizens, institutions, and organizations wishing to participate in sharing can donate through the Hope Welfare Team of the Social Welfare Division at City Hall, donation reception offices at eup/myeon offices and dong community centers, or the Jeonbuk Community Chest of Korea.
Donors will be issued donation receipts and can receive year-end tax deduction benefits according to the Income Tax Act.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "Although the economic situation is difficult, I ask all citizens to join hands in delivering warm sharing and love so that Jeongeup City can become a place where everyone is happy without anyone being left out."
