[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] A man in his 20s has been apprehended by the police and is under investigation for assaulting officers while refusing a breathalyzer test.
According to the Busan Nambu Police Station, at around 12:31 a.m. on the 30th, Mr. A was arrested on the street in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, for violating the Road Traffic Act (refusal to take a breathalyzer test) and obstructing official duties.
Mr. A was arrested for violating the Road Traffic Act by refusing the breathalyzer test without a valid reason, and during the process, he assaulted three police officers on their chests and faces, resulting in charges of obstruction of official duties.
Mr. A, who was caught in the act, reportedly refused to cooperate with the investigation even after being taken to the police station.
A police official stated, “Mr. A will be summoned for further investigation on charges including refusal to take a breathalyzer test and obstruction of official duties.”
