Damyang-gun Continues Scholarship Donations Filled with 'Love for Local Talent'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Despite the onset of severe cold weather, the continuous flow of scholarship fund donations for local talents is bringing warmth to the community.


According to the Damyang Scholarship Foundation on the 30th, on the 24th, Deokin-gwan (CEO Park Gyuwan) donated 2 million won, Damyang Apjip Tteokgalbi Guksu (CEO Park Sanghyun) donated 1 million won, and Hansang Geundaetongbap (CEO Baek Jiye) donated 1 million won in scholarships.


On the 25th, Goryeo Traditional Foods (CEO Go Hunguk) donated 2 million won, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation Damyang Branch (Branch Manager Seo Youngchae) donated 2.22 million won, and Legal Scrivener Moon Youngsoo donated 1 million won to the scholarship foundation.


Deokin-gwan, Damyang Apjip Tteokgalbi Guksu, and Hansang Geundaetongbap, which have established themselves as representative restaurants enhancing Damyang’s reputation, along with Goryeo Traditional Foods, which leads the globalization of traditional foods, expressed their hope that “the scholarships will be a small help for local students to focus on their studies and achieve their dreams, and serve as a foundation for nurturing talent.”


Seo Youngchae, Branch Manager of Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation Damyang Branch, stated, “As the year-end approaches, the employees wanted to share the sincerity they gathered little by little with the local community,” and expressed his intention to continue participating in the future.


Meanwhile, Legal Scrivener Moon Youngsoo, who has been consistently donating scholarships since 2009 and leading local talent development and volunteer work, said, “Joy seems to multiply when shared,” and “I support the better future and dreams of local juniors.”


Meanwhile, the Damyang Scholarship Foundation has received donations totaling 91 million won this year, bringing the current fund to 9.68 billion won, and is on the verge of reaching its 10 billion won goal.
