KT Alpha Shopping, 'KT AI Service Robot' First Broadcast on Home Shopping

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] KT Alpha Shopping announced on the 30th that it will introduce the ‘KT Artificial Intelligence (AI) Service Robot’ for small business owners, the first of its kind in home shopping.

Building on KT’s robot platform, which has been developed in-house since 2021, and accelerating the distribution of AI service robots to small business owners, KT Alpha Shopping has decided to leverage its own distribution channels to support and promote coexistence with small business owners.

The KT AI Service Robot is an autonomous robot equipped with serving, clearing, and patrolling functions. It features autonomous driving technology that requires no separate installation and is easy to use, enabling stable serving in any store environment.

The service robot, available exclusively through KT Alpha Shopping, is offered as a rental product that can be used for a specific period. It provides customized services such as in-store consultation and robot route provision.

Customers wishing to install the service robot can apply for consultation by calling the number announced during the broadcast at 9:40 PM on the same day. KT representatives in each region will contact applicants individually and visit stores to provide professional consulting on robot installation and service operation.

As a special benefit during the broadcast, customers who subscribe to the service will receive an LG Electronics CordZero Objet Collection cordless vacuum cleaner worth approximately 1.49 million KRW.
