[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that it achieved the great feat of winning the grand prize in the '2022 Local Road Maintenance Comprehensive Evaluation' hosted by Jeollanam-do.
Jeollanam-do conducts an annual comprehensive road maintenance evaluation targeting 22 cities and counties to provide road users with a safe and pleasant road environment.
The county systematically established spring and autumn road maintenance plans and made swift measures for potholes and deteriorated pavement sections, making every effort to ensure driver convenience and safety.
In addition, to prevent various road safety accidents, rapid maintenance such as installing safety signs and road mirrors and repainting speed bumps was carried out to maintain a safe road environment.
As a result, the county won the grand prize (1st place) in the 2022 Jeollanam-do Road Maintenance Evaluation on the 16th and was selected as Jeollanam-do's representative for the nationwide road maintenance evaluation of 17 metropolitan areas hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to be held in December.
Kim Yeongeun, head of the Civil Engineering Team in the Safety and Construction Division, said, “We will do our best to achieve good results in the national road maintenance evaluation as well,” and added, “We will continue to do our utmost to provide a safe and pleasant road environment.”
