Local company representatives and students participating in the 2022 TU-IP Auction event are taking a commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongmyung University held the ‘2022 TU-IP Auction’ event on the 24th to select ideas from students who filed patent applications and transfer the technology to local companies.
Local companies participating in the event directly auctioned the presentations and exhibitions of 10 students selected for their excellent ideas, and the students received a scholarship of 300,000 KRW each.
Dongmyung University stated, “This event was conducted as an open competition among industry-academic community companies, establishing a foundation for mutual growth and realizing the rights of intellectual property.”
Shin Dong-seok, head of the Intellectual Property Education Leading University Project Group at Dongmyung University, said, “The transfer of 10 technologies to local companies is a great achievement,” and added, “We will continue to support the transfer of students’ creative ideas to local companies so that the university, local industries, and students can all prosper together.”
The event was co-hosted by the Intellectual Property Education Leading University Project Group of Dongmyung University and the LINC3.0 Startup Education Center, first held in the region in 2018, and this year marked its 5th edition.
