POSCO Construction Signs Universal Design Business Agreement for Apartment Housing with Seoul City

[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-min Ryu] POSCO Engineering & Construction announced on the 29th that it signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 28th to realize ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values and to expand the base of universal design in residential environments.

Universal design refers to designs that eliminate level differences in living environments and allow anyone to use them safely and conveniently without discrimination based on gender, age, disability, or other factors.

POSCO Engineering & Construction plans to work with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to incorporate universal design into The Sharp apartment complexes, aiming to create user-centered residential environments.

Additionally, POSCO Engineering & Construction will actively apply universal design to its 'Eco Dream Project,' which improves housing environments for vulnerable groups, supporting elderly and disabled households to carry out daily activities without difficulties.

Through this agreement with POSCO Engineering & Construction, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to provide universal design consulting and education, as well as continue cooperation such as expert exchanges.

A POSCO Engineering & Construction official stated, “We are gradually creating comfortable access environments,” and added, “Through continuous collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, we will establish inclusive residential environments for all members of society and position ourselves as a leading ESG company.”
