Curly Hosts Live Broadcast 'Enjoy Mokran at Home' with Chef Lee Yeon-bok

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Curly announced on the 29th that it will hold a live commerce event called ‘Mokran to Enjoy at Home,’ featuring Chinese cuisine master Chef Lee Yeonbok himself.

The ‘Mokran to Enjoy at Home’ live commerce will take place on Market Kurly for one hour starting at 7 PM on the same day. During the live broadcast, customers who purchase Mokran products will receive up to a 30% discount. This is the first time that all Mokran products sold on Market Kurly, including Mokran Jjajangmyeon, Jjamppong, Baekjjamppong, and Menbosha, are being offered at such a large discount.

Chef Lee will appear in person during the live broadcast. This is the first time that the chef behind the product has appeared in a live commerce event hosted by Curly. He will cook the products himself, which contain his recipe know-how, and introduce Mokran products to viewers.

Mokran, a representative restaurant meal kit (RMR) brand on Market Kurly, first launched its Jjajangmyeon meal kit in October 2020. Thanks to high interest, it subsequently released Jjamppong, Baekjjamppong, Menbosha, and others last year. To create a taste distinct from existing meal kits, several months of development were undertaken, resulting in a high-quality flavor that captures the taste of offline restaurants and gained word-of-mouth popularity. This year, Mokran products accounted for 88% and 77% of the sales share in the Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong meal kit categories sold on Market Kurly, respectively, demonstrating their absolute popularity in these categories.
