OB Beer Replaces All 615 Corporate Sales Vehicles with Eco-Friendly Hybrids

Starting with 161 eco-friendly vehicles in November, all replaced by 454 vehicles in January next year
Expected annual carbon reduction effect of 828 tons

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] OB Beer is participating in carbon emission reduction by replacing all 615 business sales vehicles with eco-friendly vehicles from this month until January next year.

OB Beer announced on the 29th that it replaced 161 business sales vehicles from internal combustion engine vehicles to hybrid vehicles this month. By January next year, it plans to replace 454 vehicles with hybrid or electric vehicles, converting all sales vehicles to 100% eco-friendly vehicles.

By fully replacing sales vehicles with eco-friendly vehicles, OB Beer expects to achieve an annual carbon reduction effect of about 828 tons. This is equivalent to planting more than 125,454 30-year-old pine trees.

An OB Beer official said, “Following the replacement of 100% electric forklifts at 21 logistics direct stores nationwide this year, we are actively participating in climate change response by also replacing all sales department vehicles with eco-friendly vehicles,” adding, “We will continue to implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management throughout the entire process from beer production to consumption to achieve carbon neutrality goals.”
