[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 28th that it will conduct training on the basic guidelines for school accounting budget formulation for the 2023 academic year.
This training will be held with a total of about 200 participants, including administrative directors of high schools and special schools in the province, team leaders and staff in charge at education support offices. On the 28th, the training will take place in the eastern region, and on the 30th, in the western region, aiming to present directions for sound operation of school accounting and to strengthen accountability.
Through this training, the Office of Education plans to guide the main contents of the revised budget formulation guidelines for next year and present directions for the financial management of school accounting, thereby promoting autonomy and accountability in the formulation and execution of school accounting budgets.
In particular, considering the financial scale of each school, the training will encourage autonomous budget formulation and execution, and request securing democracy and transparency through systematic budget formulation reflecting the school curriculum and mid- to long-term plans, as well as the practical participation of school members.
Park Young-su, Director of the Administration Bureau, expressed gratitude for the efforts of administrative directors who strive to improve the educational environment through active budget execution support in difficult circumstances, and urged, “Please make efforts to minimize carryover and unused amounts by timely execution of budgets linked to the curriculum.”
