On the 28th, according to the county, various programs and campaigns were promoted to improve negative perceptions of dementia among local residents and raise awareness.
First, the county designated five dementia-safe villages, including Yongsu Village in Nasan-myeon, and conducted ▲Cognitive Enhancement Classes ▲Dementia Awareness Improvement Campaigns ▲Dementia Partner Education.
In addition, they visited multi-use facilities such as terminals and traditional markets, as well as elementary, middle, and high schools within the jurisdiction to promote various dementia-related programs operated by the public health center and conducted prevention campaigns.
Furthermore, at the opening ceremony of the ‘2022 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival,’ which successfully closed on the 6th, a large-scale flash mob event involving elderly participants from the dementia prevention classes was held.
Jung Myunghee, director of the public health center, said, “We will do our best to ensure that local residents have a correct understanding and awareness of dementia.”
