This outpatient depression appropriateness evaluation was conducted for the first time to improve medical service accessibility and quality for depression patients. It evaluated new outpatients aged 18 and over with depression from January to June 2021 at medical institutions nationwide at the clinic level or higher.
Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital demonstrated itself as the top medical institution in outpatient depression care by scoring 100 points, exceeding the overall average score of 43.2, across six evaluation items: revisit rate within 3 weeks after the first visit, rate of three or more visits within 8 weeks after the first visit, initial evaluation rate of depressive symptoms, re-evaluation rate of depressive symptoms, antidepressant prescription continuation rate for 84 days or more, and antidepressant prescription continuation rate for 180 days or more.
