KFTC: "Check Open Banking at a Glance and Cancel It Easily"

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] It will become possible to check the status of 'Open Banking,' which allows users to view multiple bank accounts, make payments, and transfer money within a single financial institution, at a glance through the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute (KFTC) and to cancel the service.

On the 28th, KFTC announced that it will provide the 'My Open Banking at a Glance' service starting from the 29th. The purpose is to prevent financial fraud using Open Banking and to enhance the convenience of managing personal accounts.

Accordingly, users can now view and cancel Open Banking details through the KFTC’s integrated account management service 'Account Info' app and website, which allows users to view and manage all their personal accounts across the entire financial sector at once. Users can check the institution names and registration dates of Open Banking services registered to their accounts and apply for cancellation, with results available after two business days.

A KFTC official stated, "We will continue efforts to introduce various public services through Account Info that support convenient financial life for consumers and strengthen their rights and interests."
