[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KSMB) and the Small and Medium Business Sharing Foundation announced on the 28th that they prepared 10 tons of kimchi with 130 small business representatives and volunteers at the KSMB headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and delivered it to 1,000 underprivileged households.

This kimchi-making event is the first of various sharing activities conducted by the Small and Medium Business Sharing Foundation under the year-end slogan "Together with YOU, Thank YOU."

About 30 small business representatives, including Lee Jeong-han, president of the Women Entrepreneurs Association, and a volunteer group of about 100 small business family members participated in the event.

Kim Ki-moon, chairman of KSMB, said, "Due to recent market price increases and interest rate hikes, this winter seems to be especially difficult for the vulnerable," adding, "I hope the kimchi will help the winter meals of underprivileged groups."

Father Kim Ha-jong of Anna's House, who attended the delivery ceremony, responded, "It was a time to deeply feel the warm kindness of small business people," and added, "We will use it effectively with various foods at the soup kitchen."

Meanwhile, the Small and Medium Business Sharing Foundation plans to continue the small business donation relay until the end of the year. They will practice sharing love by small business people through various volunteer activities at welfare facilities nationwide and provide free meals to children in need during the winter vacation period through kind restaurants.
