[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] HiteJinro announced on the 28th that it achieved a triple crown by becoming the first alcoholic beverage brand to win the ‘Grand Prize Ministerial Award’ at the ‘15th Korea Communication Awards,’ as well as receiving the ‘Korea Social Media Award in the Food and Beverage Category’ and the ‘Korea Digital Content Award in the Food and Beverage Category.’
With this award, HiteJinro has won the grand prize at the Korea Communication Awards for 10 consecutive times since 2013. The company explained that this year’s recognition as the best company in content competitiveness that resonates with consumers, receiving the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, added special significance.
The Korea Communication Awards is a prestigious domestic communication and marketing awards ceremony in the digital field, hosted by the Korea Internet Communication Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting. Awardees are selected through evaluations by customer panels and expert verification based on the operation of social network service (SNS) communication channels, content, and communication marketing effectiveness of over 400 companies and public institutions.
Above all, HiteJinro is recognized for establishing an interactive communication channel that induces voluntary consumer participation and content dissemination. In particular, this year, various videos and consumer participation challenges featuring the hit product ‘Terra Spooner’ received great responses. Additionally, the Jinro brand Instagram, which uses the friendly toad character to naturally integrate the product into the daily lives of diverse consumer groups and promote empathy and communication, has reached a total of 600,000 followers, an unprecedented response in the distribution industry.
HiteJinro plans to continue sharing differentiated experiences and increasing brand preference by communicating with consumers through various touchpoints such as SNS channels.
