The "2023 CSAT Preliminary Scoring and Regular Admission Support Strategies" special lecture, held face-to-face for the first time in three years since COVID-19, is expected to provide timely admission information through preliminary scoring analysis before the CSAT score notification date to examinees and parents, suggest suitable university admission strategies, and offer practical help for college entrance.

This special lecture will be conducted by Park Sung-hyun, a lecturer from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admission Support Group and Head of Admissions at Mokdong High School, who has led many students to successful admissions over the years. Additionally, Gangnam-gu Office's online CSAT broadcast (Gangnam Ingang) will host an online briefing session for three days starting from the 13th, inviting admission experts.

Following the "2023 Seongbuk-gu Regular Admission Strategy Admission Briefing" held on the 12th, the district plans to operate the counseling room on the 16th, 19th, and 20th for about 108 teams (220 people) of examinees and parents, matching them with 15 active teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admission Guidance Support Group.

The counseling room will be held from December 16 to 20, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Seongbuk Youth Future Support Center. Applications can be submitted through the "Online Lecture Application" section on the Seongbuk-gu Office website until 6 p.m. on December 14.

Following the intensive counseling for early admissions held in August, this counseling will provide in-depth consultation opportunities with 11 current and former high school career guidance teachers who are well-versed in admission trends and student tendencies and actively serve as admission advisory members for multiple universities.

Participants will receive 1:1 customized counseling on ▲Support strategies for desired universities based on admission results ▲Analysis of regular admission guidelines by major universities through individual counseling booths at Haenuri Town Art Hall on the 19th and 20th. Counseling will be conducted in 10 sessions with 10 participants per session, each receiving 40 minutes of counseling.

Eligible applicants are 100 third-year high school students and college applicants and their parents residing in the district. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. on the 5th via the district office website's integrated reservation portal, and counseling is free of charge.

Since its first operation in 2016, the intensive counseling for college entrance preparation has been highly popular among local examinees and parents, with a cumulative usage of 1,409 people.

Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) will hold a briefing session to share 2023 regular admission support strategies with students and parents preparing for college entrance in the district.

The 2023 College Scholastic Ability Test held on the 17th was somewhat easier compared to last year, but some problem areas showed high difficulty, making grade prediction challenging.

Accordingly, the district has prepared a session to analyze the 2023 CSAT and provide major university regular admission strategies along with last year's admission result data to alleviate anxiety among local examinees and parents.

The briefing will be held on December 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the large auditorium on the 2nd floor of Nowon-gu Office, expected to be attended by about 400 admission students and parents from Nowon-gu.

The lecturer will be Yoon Hee-tae, a teacher at Yeongdong Il High School and team leader of the Admission Guidance Support Program at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Education Research Information Center. A public education admission expert was invited for professionalism and reliability.

Those wishing to attend can register from 2 p.m. on December 1 via the Nowon Education Platform website. Up to three people, including the applicant and two companions, can be registered. Upon completion, a text message confirming the application and briefing schedule will be sent.

Seating will be free seating on a first-come, first-served basis. After all pre-registered attendees are seated, remaining seats will be available for on-site applicants to maximize information access.

Additionally, 1:1 regular admission counseling will accept additional applications from 2 p.m. on December 1. Counseling will be held from December 12 to 31 (excluding Sundays), with seven sessions on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., each session lasting 50 minutes and free of charge.

To ensure smooth counseling, applicants must complete the counseling application form on the website at least two days before the counseling date and bring their CSAT score report on the day.

Even if additional applications close, a waiting list will be maintained in case of cancellations due to early admissions or other reasons. Information on 1:1 admission counseling applications and related details can be found on the official Nowon Education Platform website.

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Tae-woo) is stepping up to support examinees and parents who are planning admission strategies after the 2023 College Scholastic Ability Test.

The district announced it will hold a "2023 Regular Admission College Entrance Briefing" at the Gangseo-gu Citizens' Hall Ujang Hall on the 15th.

The purpose is to provide accurate admission information to help students and parents establish regular admission strategies.

This briefing will feature Yoon Yoon-gu, a representative EBSi admission lecturer and author of "The Art of Admission You See as Much as You Know," who will analyze the 2023 CSAT results and discuss regular admission support strategies.

He will also explain the characteristics of regular admission for major universities in groups A, B, and C, and address examinees' questions.

The briefing will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and any examinee or parent can enter on a first-come, first-served basis starting 30 minutes before the event without prior registration.

This counseling, jointly organized by Mapo-gu, Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and Mapo Career and Job Experience Support Center, will feature 14 teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Education Research Information Center as counselors.

Counselors will analyze examinees' CSAT scores and school records to identify possible universities and departments for acceptance and provide personalized 1:1 counseling on regular admission strategies expected to be highly competitive.

Applications for counseling can be made online on the Mapo Career and Job Experience Support Center website or via the QR code on the promotional poster until December 11 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants must reside in Mapo-gu or be examinees, graduates, or parents of high schools in Mapo-gu. A total of 70 people will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis.

An admission official stated, "This year's CSAT had a high perceived difficulty due to discriminative questions, and the number of graduates taking the test increased to the highest in 26 years, which is expected to be a variable in regular admissions," adding, "Parents' interest in the '2023 College Regular Admission Counseling' is focused ahead of regular admissions."

Mapo-gu Mayor Park Kang-soo said, "We prepared this event to ease the concerns of high school seniors and parents about admissions," adding, "We hope this briefing will help establish effective admission strategies."

According to the "Measures to Strengthen Fairness in College Admissions" announced by the Ministry of Education in 2019, changes in the admission system are expected from 2024.

Yongsan-gu (Mayor Park Hee-young) will operate a "2024-25 College Entrance Parent Academy."

The purpose is to provide the latest college entrance information to parents of middle and high school students in preparation for changing education policies and college admission systems. In particular, it aims to provide practical and professional admission information for the 2024-2025 college entrance process.

The Parent Academy will be held online four times every Tuesday and Thursday from December 13 to 22. It will recruit 400 participants, 100 per session, starting from the 28th. Eligible participants are residents or parents of middle and high school students attending schools in the district.

Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced it will hold "Immortal Master Lectures" with physicist Professor Kim Sang-wook.

The "Immortal Master Lectures" will be held at 3 p.m. on December 1 at the Nowon Citizens' Hall large auditorium. Under the theme "What Physics Has Told Us About the Universe and Humans," the warm-hearted physicist Professor Kim Sang-wook will be the lecturer.

Professor Kim is currently a professor in the Department of Physics at Kyung Hee University's College of Science and is famous for delivering lectures that are easy to understand even for the general public with no scientific background, having appeared on numerous broadcasts such as "Alssul Sinjab," "Alssul Beomjab," and "These Days' Bookstore: Reading Books for You."

Meanwhile, the district reorganized the former "Nowon Liberal Arts College" into "Immortal Master Lectures" in 2019 to satisfy residents' lifelong learning needs by inviting distinguished speakers from various fields such as health, humanities, science, and popular culture. Before COVID-19, an average of about 800 residents attended each session, showing high interest.

Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) has started building soft infrastructure and nurturing local talent to create an AI innovation city. It will hold an "AI-related Master's and Doctoral Program Support Corporate Briefing" for employees of local companies.

This briefing, jointly promoted by the district and Soongsil University, is designed to address questions from company employees interested in AI-related master's and doctoral programs.

In July, the district signed a business agreement with Soongsil University to promote various "Regional Intelligent Innovation Talent Development Projects" utilizing the district's resources and Soongsil University's human infrastructure. The "Regional Intelligent Innovation Talent Development Project," led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, supports innovative education and research for employees of local companies to cultivate high-level research personnel.

The briefing will be held on the 29th at the Playground of AI Yangjae Hub in Yangjae-dong. Professors from Soongsil University's Department of Techno Convergence will introduce the purpose of the Regional Intelligent Innovation Talent Development Project, AI-related master's and doctoral programs, and conduct Q&A for employees of local AI companies. The session will last about two hours.

Employees participating in the "AI-related Master's and Doctoral Programs" will receive up to 90% of tuition support per person annually (up to 10 million KRW per year). They will research AI, image recognition, smart factory convergence, game convergence, etc., with courses held on weekday evenings or weekends. They will also participate in project development research through industry-academia-research cooperation.

Applicants must submit a letter of intent along with required documents such as a recommendation letter from their employing company to the district by December 2.
