On the 27th, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced that they are currently investigating a suspect identified as Mr. A on charges of fraud. According to the police, Mr. A posted on social networking services (SNS) that he would sell unreleased photo cards of a specific idol group, received advance payments, but did not send the items.
So far, 28 victims have reported the damage. The victims are mostly foreigners or fans of a certain female idol group, and many are known to be minors.
A police official stated, "The reported damage amount has not reached the scale of hundreds of millions of won, but is about 30 million won," adding, "Reports of damage are still being received."
