[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] The electrified model of the Genesis GV70 ranked first in a recent electric vehicle model comparison evaluation conducted by the German specialized media Auto Bild, surpassing competing models.
According to the company on the 27th, the GV70 achieved the highest overall score in this evaluation, competing against the Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E GT. The evaluation examined seven categories: body, convenience, powertrain, driving performance, connectivity, eco-friendliness, and economy.
The GV70 received top marks in convenience, driving performance, and connectivity, earning a total score of 569 points. The Model Y scored 561 points, and the Mach-E GT scored 509 points. In particular, it gained an advantage in suspension performance and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), receiving more than 20 points higher than competing vehicles in the convenience category alone.
Following the higher evaluations of the Ioniq 5 and EV6, which apply Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP, the derived electric vehicle model has also proven its competitiveness this time. Auto Bild is one of the three major German automobile magazines, along with Auto Motor und Sport and Auto Zeitung.
