[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-won Choi] Cameron Smith (Australia), ranked 3rd in the world in men's golf and recently transferred to LIV Golf, topped the leaderboard after the third round of the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) Fortinet Australian PGA Championship.

Cameron Smith, who was tied for 14th on the first day of the tournament, recorded a 2-under-par 65 with six birdies and four bogeys in the third round of the Australian PGA Championship (total prize money AUD 2 million) held on the 26th (Korean time) at Royal Queensland Golf Club (par 71) in Brisbane, Australia. With a total score of 11-under-par 202, he leads alone by three strokes over the second place.

Cameron Smith rose to world No. 2 after winning the U.S. PGA Tour major The Open Championship in July, but his world ranking dropped one spot after transferring to LIV Golf. It is known that he participated in this tournament to maintain his world ranking.

Jason Scrivener (Australia), who was in first place the previous day, struggled with a 3-over-par round and dropped to a tie for 4th place with a total score of 7-under-par 206. Korean-Australian Minwoo Lee (24) also improved by three strokes and shared the 4th place position.

Wang Jeong-hoon (29), who boasts three DP World Tour wins, lost two more strokes today and fell to a tie for 56th place with a total score of 2-over-par 215.
