On the 25th, the Park Mu Future Foundation held the '1st 2022 Excellent Economic Management Books and Columns Awards Ceremony' at the Diamond Room on the 2nd floor of the Koreana Hotel in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. This awards ceremony was planned to honor the late journalist Park Mu, who dedicated his life to economic journalism, and to promote public understanding and consensus on economic issues.
In the excellent book category, Oh Geon-young, Deputy General Manager of Shinhan Bank WM Group and author of "Surviving Inflation," received the award. The book was praised for its timeliness and insightfulness in seeking desirable economic practices amid the current economic recession.
The excellent column awardees included Kwon Oh-yong, Executive Director of Korea Guidestar, Min Kyung-bo, CEO of Korea Resource Circulation Industry Promotion Association, and Lee Dong-sik, cultural columnist.
The awardees were given a cash prize and a plaque, followed by a special lecture by Deputy General Manager Oh.
The ceremony was attended by Park Mu Future Foundation Chairperson Jang Gui-hee, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Lee Heon-jae, as well as about 80 people including members of the National Development Research Association and media personnel.
The Park Mu Future Foundation plans to continue the annual 'Excellent Economic Management Books and Columns Awards' starting this year.
