Uruguay's Su?rez, N??ez, and Pellistri Face Off
Son Heung-min (Tottenham) overcomes a facial injury to start in the first match against Uruguay. The national football team announced the starting lineup about an hour before the first Group H match of the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup, held on the 24th at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. Son Heung-min, who underwent surgery earlier this month after a strong collision with an opponent in his club team, has shaken off his injury and made the roster. Returning to the field about three weeks after the accident, he will lead Korea's second-ever advancement to the round of 16 in an away World Cup.
Head coach Paulo Bento is expected to face Uruguay with a 4-1-4-1 formation. Son Heung-min and Na Sang-ho (Seoul) are positioned as left and right wingers, with Hwang Ui-jo (Olimpia Corso) leading the attack upfront.
