[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Samjin Pharmaceutical announced on the 24th that Executive Director Choi Ji-seon received a personal commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the 48th National Quality Management Competition, and the 'Majungmul' quality improvement team from the Hyangnam Plant, selected as an excellent quality improvement team, received the Presidential Award.
Hosted and organized by the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korean Standards Association, the National Quality Management Competition recognizes and rewards individuals and outstanding companies who have contributed to enhancing national competitiveness through continuous quality management activities. It is held annually in November to coincide with 'Quality Month.'
Executive Director Choi, who oversees the Marketing Communication Headquarters at Samjin Pharmaceutical, was recognized at this year's National Quality Management Competition for ▲activating quality innovation activities such as introducing a suggestion system and supporting excellent quality improvement teams ▲advancing quality management through the establishment of smart factories (Hyangnam and Osong) and accreditation as an internationally certified testing institution (ISO17025) ▲enhancing corporate image by winning the brand customer loyalty award for Geborin Tablets for seven consecutive years ▲and continuously developing social contribution programs.
Executive Director Choi expressed her thoughts, saying, "I am grateful for the hard work of the executives and employees who have worked together on continuous quality innovation activities, and I will continue to make every effort to provide generous support to improve quality competitiveness based on the reliability that companies must have."
Additionally, the 'Majungmul' quality improvement team from the Hyangnam Plant, which received the Presidential Award, conducted improvement activities for over a year under the theme of 'Social Overhead Capital Sector: Reducing Inspection Time by Improving the Quality Inspection Process.' Through this, they were highly evaluated for establishing a pharmaceutical quality system, including automation of the testing process, computerized data processing (RDMS), and electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation. Notably, following previous quality improvement teams 'Alhwakhaeng' in 2019, 'Upgle Samjin' in 2020, and 'Predict' in 2021, they earned the honor of winning the award for four consecutive years.
