Startup accelerator SparkLabs (co-CEOs Kim Yujin) and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced the successful online hosting of the ‘2022 Mega Content Lab’ Demo Day.

The 2022 Mega Content Lab, a startup support program by the Korea Creative Content Agency, is designed to discover and nurture promising content companies that will lead innovation in the future content industry. This year, SparkLabs was selected as the operator and chose nine startups with less than seven years of experience that possess business models combining content and digital technology, providing customized programs for each company.

The Demo Day was organized to allow these companies, which underwent an approximately five-month incubation program, to present their business models and key achievements to investors and industry stakeholders, seeking opportunities for follow-up investment. Additionally, a seminar featuring content industry experts was held to highlight major content consumption trends for 2023.

The nine teams participating in the 2022 Mega Content Lab Demo Day were: ‘Dallara Network’, which developed a global entertainment-media platform where anyone can debut anytime, anywhere; ‘Plays Edutainment’, a company developing an IoT smart playground for collecting exercise play data of preschool children; ‘Kidop’, a developer of science-based learning content for infants and young children; ‘IMYmine’, which built a body sizing solution recommending customized body shape information through visualization analysis and AI technology; ‘Ilhakgyo’, a developer of an open market beat commerce platform for artists; ‘Muse Blossom’, which established an audio watermark system; ‘Ydeus’, an OTT service company for reading-based content; ‘Bifex’, a developer of diverse rhythm action games; and ‘Woodygo’, which developed a map-based SNS sharing real stories of friends.

Among the nine participating teams, ‘IMYmine’ received the grand prize with a cash award of 40 million KRW, ‘Bifex’ won the excellence award with 30 million KRW, and ‘Dallara Network’ earned the outstanding award with 20 million KRW. Additionally, SparkLabs plans to offer priority selection opportunities for its regular batch program to the Demo Day participants and provide close IR coaching and networking to support follow-up investment attraction.
