BNK Gyeongnam Bank Saves Customer Lives... Installation of Automated External Defibrillators

BNK Gyeongnam Bank Saves Customer Lives... Installation of Automated External Defibrillators BNK Gyeongnam Bank has installed automated external defibrillators at its headquarters and branches to enhance the safety of customers and employees.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 23rd that it has installed automated external defibrillators at its headquarters and branches to enhance the safety of customers and employees.

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a medical device used to eliminate ventricular fibrillation in cardiac arrest patients through electric shock, restoring the heart to a normal rhythm.

At the headquarters, stand-type automated external defibrillators consisting of the main unit, battery, electrode pads, bag, and rescue kit were installed in multi-use facilities such as the main auditorium, lobby, employee cafeteria, and next to elevators (odd-numbered floors).

At branches, stand-type automated external defibrillators were initially placed at six locations: Changwon Branch, Jinju Branch, Gimhae Financial Center, Ulsan Branch, Busan Branch, and Seoul Branch.

Lee Jun-hee, head of the Safety Management Office, said, “Interest in safety is higher than ever. We hope that the automated external defibrillators installed not only at the headquarters but also at branches frequently visited by customers will be used promptly in emergencies. We plan to expand the distribution of AEDs and provide first aid training to employees to improve their emergency response capabilities.”

BNK Gyeongnam Bank has conducted training on the use of AEDs and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for employees at branches where AEDs are installed, and plans to provide training for headquarters employees on December 6 and 7.

The life box, accessible to anyone without a locking device, consists of five spray fire extinguishers, five simple oxygen masks, five fire-resistant blankets, and one portable emergency light.
