Hamyang County Council Opens the 273rd 2nd Regular Session

2023 Military Administration Major Work Report and Budget Review Scheduled

The 273rd 2nd Regular Session

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hamyang County Council in Gyeongnam began the 273rd Hamyang County Council 2nd Regular Session on the 22nd, scheduled to last for 25 days until December 16.

At this 2nd Regular Session, the council will deliberate on 27 Hamyang County ordinances including the full revision of the Hamyang County Regional Informatization Promotion Ordinance proposed by Councilor Jeong Hyeon-cheol and two other councilors, the Hamyang County Civil Complaint Handling Team Operation Ordinance, the Hamyang County Solitary Death Prevention and Socially Isolated Household Support Ordinance and the Hamyang County Foreign Seasonal Worker Support Ordinance proposed by Councilor Kwon Dae-geun and two others, the Hamyang County Sports Club Promotion and Support Ordinance and the Hamyang County Walking Activation Support Ordinance proposed by Councilor Im Chae-suk and two others, the partial amendment of the Hamyang County Council Members’ Legislative Activity Expense Payment Ordinance proposed by Councilor Jeong Gwang-seok and two others, the partial amendment of the Hamyang County Council Local Public Officials Service Ordinance proposed by Councilor Bae Woo-jin and two others, and the partial amendment of the ordinance concerning the number of residents requesting audits submitted by the Hamyang County Governor. In addition, 7 consent proposals and opinion submissions, the 2023 regular shared property management plan and mid-term shared property management plan, the 3rd supplementary budget for 2022, the 2023 budget, and the 2023 fund operation plan will be reviewed.

On the first day of the session, the opening ceremony began at 10 a.m. On the 1st plenary session, matters such as the formation of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee and the request for attendance of related officials for questions and answers on county administration were handled.

After the opening ceremony, during the 1st plenary session, the council listened to the 2023 budget proposal speech from County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong, followed by the 2023 major business report. According to the agenda, each standing committee will begin deliberations on the proposed and revised ordinances and consent proposals, as well as the respective budget reviews.

Chairman Park Yong-woon said in his opening remarks, “The 9th council, which was vigorously launched last July, will strive to come closer as representatives of the residents, communicate, and propose new policies and alternatives so that the people of Hamyang can live with pride.”
