[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University has produced a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States.

Graduate Jeong Dae-hee of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University continued working at large hospitals such as Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital and Haeundae Bummin Hospital. After passing the NCLEX, the U.S. nursing license exam, in August this year, he was accepted as a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, USA, in November.

He also dreams of becoming a critical care specialist nurse rather than a general nurse in the U.S. and plans to enter graduate school to achieve this goal.

While enrolled, Jeong completed the extracurricular AHA BLS Provider training course at Gyeongnam Information University and obtained certification. He gained diverse experiences through various language programs and global internship programs, including language training and clinical practice at Saint Clare's Hospital in New Jersey, USA.

He continued studying English diligently afterward, eventually achieving an overall score of 7 and a speaking score of 7 on the IELTS English proficiency test, meeting the requirements for U.S. immigration procedures and passing the English interview at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Graduate Jeong Dae-hee said, “I received many benefits such as abundant scholarship programs, various language programs, and overseas training while enrolled. I sincerely thank the department professors and the university who provided full support.”

Park Ui-jeong, head of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University, said, “I sincerely thank and feel proud of graduate Jeong Dae-hee, who persevered without giving up on his dreams and goals for a long time. He has become a good example for juniors, and we will continue to do our best to nurture excellent nursing talents at the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University.”
