Summits Co., Ltd., which operates the Indonesian beauty medical platform MyVenus, announced on the 21st that it has collaborated with WeWork Indonesia, a global shared office company, to launch an on-site beauty medical service.

The on-site beauty medical service will be offered in various forms such as dermatology procedure consultations and on-site massages. This is an offline user acquisition strategy considering that the demand for beauty medical services mostly comes from female office workers in their 20s and 30s.

MyVenus stated that this event was planned together in consideration of WeWork Indonesia’s efforts to improve welfare benefits for companies residing in their offices by organizing various community events. In particular, beauty medical and wellness service providers offering on-site services expressed a strong willingness to actively collaborate from the perspective of attracting potential customers.

MyVenus, Indonesia’s first beauty medical platform launched in April this year, surpassed 400 clinic listings within six months of its launch and exceeded 10,000 MAU (monthly active users) on November 15, showing a J-curve growth. Especially, the number of dermatology procedure consultations has sharply increased in the fourth quarter of this year, and inquiries from local beauty medical providers for listing have continued.

MyVenus is Indonesia’s first specialized beauty medical platform where users can compare information on Indonesian beauty medical procedures, check user reviews, and purchase procedure products. MyVenus is digitalizing the offline-centered Indonesian beauty medical market to reduce excessive competition and advertising costs, creating a new environment where consumers can benefit. In particular, it is making efforts to alleviate consumers’ spending burdens by maximizing discount rates during off-peak seasons and times when beauty medical service providers have no customers.

Summits COO Joy Joon said, “The first consultation and procedure experience of consumers are important to accelerate the growth of the beauty medical service market,” adding, “We will focus on attracting female office worker customers in their 20s and 30s through both offline and online channels.”

Summits was co-founded by CEO Hwang Yujin, who graduated from Peking University Medical School and had already achieved success with a plastic surgery tourism platform in Indonesia, gaining attention from local media, and CFO Joy Joon, a financial expert from NH Korindo Securities Indonesia.

Summits first entered Indonesia with support from the D.CAMP global team after advancing to the finals of the D.CAMP D-Day competition hosted by the Bank권청년창업재단 (Bank Youth Startup Foundation) in September last year. Since then, it has been recognized for its expertise in the Indonesian beauty medical market and attracted seed investments from Capstone Partners, known as an early investor of Danggeun Market, Bluepoint Partners, a technology startup-focused investment firm, and United Family Capital, an Indonesian conglomerate investment holding company. Additionally, it was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ technology startup program ‘TIPS’ in November last year and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s accelerating program ‘OpenNest200’ in December last year.
