Hwasun-gun Dream Start Conducts Career and Job Experience Program

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] On the 19th, Dream Start of Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 21st that it conducted a career and job program for 33 elementary school children at Suncheonman Job World.

This program was prepared to enhance understanding of various occupational worlds and to help local children make proper career choices suited to their aptitudes.

The children experienced various jobs at 33 experience centers such as Media Studio, Well-being Restaurant, Webtoon Studio, and Drone Development Research Institute, spending time to help understand the world of occupations.

One student said, “I was able to resolve my curiosity by experiencing fields I was only interested in, and it was so fun that I really liked it,” adding, “I want to participate in various experiential learning programs again in the future.”

A county official said, “We hope it was an enjoyable time through job experiences combining education and play tailored to the children’s perspective,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create various experiential learning opportunities that cannot be experienced at school, building Hwasun as a ‘child-friendly city’ where children can nurture their dreams.”

Meanwhile, Hwasun-gun Dream Start is a project that provides customized integrated services to children aged 0 to under 12 years old, promoting healthy growth and development of children and ensuring equal starting opportunities so that they can grow into healthy and happy members of society.
