[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 21st that it will sell Nonode's rider jackets, which have received a hot response from the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), at 10 a.m. on the 22nd on SSG.com Shinsegae Department Store Mall.
The rider jacket is a newly designed version of the cropped rider jacket, which quickly sold out right after its spring/summer release and maintained steady popularity with restocks. It is presented as a limited edition for the fall/winter season. The jacket features three layers of fabric for warmth and added waterproof functionality, and it matches the recent trend of the gorpcore look (an outdoor fashion style that can also be used as everyday wear). The sales method is a drop system, where the product is sold temporarily within a set time, and sales end early once all limited stock is sold out.
Starting next year, Shinsegae Department Store plans to strengthen its online-exclusive brands by collaborating monthly with MZ designer brands such as Nonode and Under My Car. Previously, the Nonode x BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) hoodies released on SSG.com Shinsegae Department Store Mall on the 26th of last month sold out within 10 seconds of the sales start.
A Shinsegae Department Store official said, “We planned a special collaboration with MZ designer brands targeting MZ generation customers,” adding, “We will continue to introduce differentiated collaborative products to strengthen our competitiveness.”
