In the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, Uruguay and Portugal, who will face the 'Bentoho', met for the first time in Doha to coordinate their efforts.


Uruguay, led by coach Diego Alonso, adjusted their condition on the afternoon of the 19th (local time) at the Al Ersal training ground. They arrived in Doha in the morning and worked hard from the first day. Twenty-five players participated in the training, except goalkeeper Sebastian Sosa (Independiente), who was mourning his mother. Among them were Edinson Cavani (Valencia), Luis Suarez (Nacional), Federico Valverde (Real Madrid), Rodrigo Bentancur (Tottenham), Darwin N??ez (Liverpool), and Diego God?n (V?lez Sarsfield), who are active in major leagues or were once highlighted as top players. Defender Ronald Ara?jo (FC Barcelona), who underwent surgery for a right thigh muscle injury in September, also joined. They will play their first match against Korea at 10 PM Korea time on the 24th at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

Portugal, who arrived in Doha the night before, held their first training session in the afternoon at Al Shahaniya SC training ground on the outskirts of Doha. Out of twenty-six players, only twenty participated. Jo?o F?lix (Atl?tico Madrid), Ot?vio Monteiro (Porto), William Carvalho (Real Betis), Diogo Dalot (Porto), Ant?nio Silva (Benfica), and Andr? Silva (Leipzig) focused on recovery indoors. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), who missed the friendly match against Nigeria (4-0) on the 17th due to gastroenteritis, came out with teammates like R?ben Dias (Manchester City) and Ricardo Horta (Braga) to lightly practice passing. They will face Bentoho at midnight Korea time on the 3rd of next month.
