Cheongsong-gun Holds 'Farmers' Day' Event... "Encouragement, Harmony, Unity, Let's Reduce Damage"

The 27th Cheongsong-gun Farmers' Day event is taking place.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporters Yongwoo Kim and Gwiyul Kim] The Cheongsong County Agricultural Association held the '27th Farmers' Day Commemoration Event' on the 18th at the Cheongsong National Sports Center.

This commemorative event is held annually in November, hosted and organized by the Cheongsong County Agricultural Association, to encourage farmers and promote harmony and unity among agricultural organizations in celebration of Farmers' Day.

About 1,000 people attended the event, including Cheongsong County Governor Kyunghee Yoon, Cheongsong County Council Chairman Taejun Kwon and council members, heads of various institutions and organizations, and farmers.

Starting with a pre-ceremony performance, the opening ceremony awarded commendations to 16 contributors to agricultural development in eight categories, including the Songam Kim Inhwan Award, Ministerial Commendations, and National Assembly Member Commendations. After the ceremony, various programs such as a farmers' singing contest and sports competitions were held, creating an enjoyable time.

Governor Kyunghee Yoon of Cheongsong County said, “Despite the crop damage caused by natural disasters such as hail and typhoons this year, I express my gratitude and consolation to the farmers who have wisely overcome these challenges.” She added, “Although our agriculture is facing internal and external crises such as falling agricultural product prices and soaring agricultural material costs, Cheongsong County will actively respond with proactive policies to minimize damage to farmers.”
