[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 17th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Microsoft Korea (MS) for metaverse technology cooperation.
KB Kookmin Bank and Microsoft Korea agreed to mutually cooperate on ▲discovering and executing joint projects in the field of augmented reality (AR) ▲developing financial content using augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) ▲technology collaboration for convergence services between finance and the metaverse (AR, MR).
They also plan to develop financial content using HoloLens and introduce an employee training program for financial consumer protection. The program will allow branch employees to sell financial products to virtual customers and self-check compliance with the Financial Consumer Protection Act, aiming to prevent incomplete sales.
Yoon Jin-su, head of the Tech Group at KB Kookmin Bank, said, "Various forms of the metaverse will emerge in the future, and as participants increase there, financial activities are expected to naturally arise. We plan to proactively experiment with metaverse banking service models, secure necessary technologies, and expand cooperation with related companies."
