Jae-sung Lee, Vice President of LG Electronics, Receives Silver Industrial Medal at 'Korea Energy Awards'

Contribution to the Localization of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology and the Development of High-Efficiency Heating and Cooling Products

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Air Solution Division, received the Silver Tower Industrial Medal at the '2022 Korea Energy Awards' held on the 17th at InterContinental Seoul COEX.

Vice President Lee joined Geumseongsa (now LG Electronics) Air Conditioning Research Lab in 1987 and devoted himself to refrigeration and air conditioning research and development. He was recognized for his contributions to advancing the domestic home appliance industry by domesticating core technologies of air conditioning products that had relied on foreign imports.

He also led the growth of heat pump technology and the advancement of inverter technology by researching energy-efficient products for a sustainable future. He contributed to win-win cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises and job creation.

Vice President Lee said, "I will develop more high-efficiency technologies and products to contribute to overcoming the global energy crisis," adding, "I will continue to strive for the growth and development of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry."

LG Electronics is presenting customized total air conditioning solutions that can be used in various spaces such as residential, office, commercial, and industrial facilities, including air conditioners, system air conditioners, air purifiers, and ventilation systems in the air solution field. Through innovative products, LG Electronics has received the Performance Award from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) for five consecutive years up to this year.
