[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 17th that it will conduct financial training for teachers during the winter vacation period to enhance the financial literacy of elementary, middle, and high school teachers.

This training will cover the necessity of financial education and provide education on the concepts and understanding of banking, financial investment, and insurance. Additionally, it will introduce how to utilize the financial education standards, standard textbooks, and teacher's guides developed by the Financial Supervisory Service for systematic financial education in schools. Training will also be provided on practical financial knowledge related to daily life, such as financial life and asset management, prevention of financial fraud, and legal knowledge necessary for financial transactions. Those who complete the training will be awarded 'teacher job training credits.'

Applications will be accepted for five days starting from the 21st. The training will take place from January 9th to 13th. About 40 teachers from Seoul and other cities and provinces will be selected.
