Pizza Hut Unveils Three New Detroit-Style Products

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Pizza Hut announced on the 17th that it will introduce three types of Detroit-style pizza, known for its thick square pan pizza: Double Pepperoni, Hawaiian, and Meaty Deluxe.

Detroit-style pizza offers three varieties to enjoy the authentic taste of Detroit pizza: 'Double Pepperoni,' topped with twice the amount of pepperoni; Hawaiian style, topped with pineapple, bacon, and pepperoni; and Meaty Deluxe, generously topped with Italian meats and pepperoni, allowing customers to savor the flavors of the U.S. mainland.

Detroit-style pizza originated from baking pizza in square metal pans supplied to automobile manufacturing plants in Detroit, USA. Its most distinctive feature is that it is a square pizza, unlike the traditional round pizzas.

The new menu features a soft and fluffy pan dough with cheese perfectly filling the edges, creating a crispy, golden-brown crust. The tomato sauce layered on top of the toppings adds a more diverse texture compared to typical pizzas. The Double Pepperoni is available starting at 25,900 KRW for a large size.
