S-1 Solution 'Huen' Achieves 24% Annual Growth Rate
Recently, incidents of hacking wall pads installed inside apartment units to steal residents' personal information have emerged, raising interest in integrated security solutions dedicated to apartments. Last year, a post appeared on dark web sites frequently used by hackers, claiming to sell hacking videos of wall pads from approximately 170,000 domestic apartment households, increasing concerns about potential information security incidents within apartment complexes.
According to S-1 on the 17th, the number of complexes adopting the company's integrated apartment security solution, "Huen," is increasing by an average of 24% annually. This solution provides network security monitoring, PC security solutions, intelligent CCTV, and skyview cameras. To protect residents' personal information, the "S-1 Network Security Monitoring Solution" is installed on management office servers that store a large amount of personal data, preventing hacking through external intrusion in advance. Additionally, information security consulting diagnoses the status of network security equipment and security vulnerabilities to support the prevention of various information security incidents within the complex. The "S-1 PC Security Solution" is applied to apartment management PCs to minimize damage from viruses, ransomware, and other threats.
There are also intelligent CCTVs and facial recognition access control solutions to prevent unauthorized entry by outsiders and violent crimes such as assault in advance. According to the National Police Agency, crimes occurring in apartment complexes increased by about 10%, from 96,000 cases in 2019 to 106,000 cases last year. Intelligent CCTV uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect and notify in real time situations such as theft and assault within apartments, while the facial recognition access control solution is installed at complex entrances and community facilities to efficiently control outsiders. S-1 also provides crime prevention environment design tailored to the characteristics of each complex to prevent crimes within apartment complexes. This process diagnoses CCTV blind spots and potential crime areas to eliminate crime risk factors.
Skyview cameras can prevent incidents such as vehicle theft and hit-and-run accidents, which have been increasing recently within apartment complexes. Installed on apartment rooftops, they feature a wide field of view that allows monitoring of the entire complex without blind spots. An S-1 official said, "As apartment-related crimes, which account for 51.1% of the total number of households in Korea, continue to increase, the number of complexes adopting integrated apartment security solutions is also rising," adding, "We will continue efforts such as developing advanced solutions to build a safe residential environment."
