Semitess Signs MOU with SK C&C for Manufacturing Automation Solution Business

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Semiconductor automation solution specialist Semitics (CEO Min Namhong) and SK C&C (CEO Park Seongha) announced on the 17th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 'manufacturing automation solution business.'

The MOU signing ceremony took place at Semitics headquarters located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony was attended by Semitics CEO Min Namhong, SK C&C Global Business Development Group Leader Choi Seokju, Manufacturing Digital Platform Group Leader Kim Seonghan, and other officials from both companies.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to actively cooperate to enhance predictive maintenance functions based on big data and respond to the semiconductor market's demand for intelligent integrated manufacturing services. To this end, they plan to develop an integrated solution linking SK C&C's intelligent integrated platform specialized for manufacturing processes, I-FACTs, with Semitics' automation system, which supplies logistics automation systems in the semiconductor front-end process.

Previously, the two companies have closely collaborated in the semiconductor automation system field. On the 25th of last month, Semitics and SK C&C signed a contract for a 'manufacturing automation solution pilot project' targeting overseas semiconductor manufacturers.

Choi Seokju, Global Business Development Group Leader at SK C&C, stated, "By signing this MOU, we will be able to provide new intelligent service experiences to domestic and international customers in the semiconductor industry through the organic combination of Semitics' semiconductor logistics automation system and SK C&C's intelligent manufacturing integrated platform."

Semitics CEO Min Namhong said, "Through the development of an integrated solution combining the previously separated manufacturing automation system and logistics automation system, we will be able to supply a consistent and efficient semiconductor automation system to the market."
