[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] AK Plaza announced on the 17th that it will hold a Kimchi-Making Grand Sale event from the 18th to the 24th, offering various kimchi-making ingredients at special prices.

During this event, kimchi-making ingredients will be offered at discounts of up to 20%. Representative products include salted napa cabbage (10kg), kimchi seasoning (3kg), kimchi cabbage (3 heads), and Dolsan mustard leaf kimchi (100g). The cabbage is grown in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, where it is exposed to sea breezes and abundant sunlight, resulting in high sugar content and a dense texture that gives it a crisp bite.

A special sale on livestock products for kimchi-making will also be held. Pork belly for boiled pork will be offered at up to 30% off the regular price. Additionally, Korean beef brisket for boiled pork and imported lamb shoulder for boiled pork will be sold at discounts of up to 40%.

Customers who purchase more than 30,000 KRW worth of products at the Kimchi-Making Grand Sale event will receive 500g of Goheung rice on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is limited to one redemption per person, and the quantity provided varies by pickup location and store.

An AK Plaza representative said, “With high inflation continuing these days, we prepared this event so customers can purchase high-quality kimchi-making ingredients at reasonable prices for the kimchi-making season,” adding, “We plan to continue organizing various food events to help reduce customers’ cost burdens.”
