Always on My Mind, My Hometown... Singer Park Seojin Donates 10 Million Won Scholarship Fund to Sacheon City Singer Park Seojin is donating a talent development scholarship to Sacheon City.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Park Seo-jin (28), a trot singer from Sacheon known as the "God of Janggu" for his lively janggu skills and outstanding vocal ability, has once again shown his love for his hometown and juniors.

On the 16th, Park Seo-jin visited Sacheon City Hall and donated 10 million won in scholarship funds to Park Dong-sik, the mayor of Sacheon and chairman of the Sacheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, asking that it be used to nurture local talent.

Park Seo-jin said, "I hope that the juniors in my hometown can dream of the future joyfully and hopefully," adding, "I hope this will be a small help in cultivating a premium educational city."

Mayor Park Dong-sik expressed his gratitude, saying, "This will be a valuable resource for discovering local talent."

Park Seo-jin also donated 10 million won each to the Sacheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation in 2019 and this September. The total amount of scholarships donated so far is 30 million won.

Early last year, Park Seo-jin also donated to Samcheonpo Seonggyeol Church, which provided school meal support when he was an elementary school student. What is the reason behind his special love for his hometown and juniors?

Although he graduated from elementary and middle school in Samcheonpo, memories of having to quit high school due to family circumstances may have led him to care deeply for his juniors.

Park Seo-jin, who has said he became a singer to be filial to his mother, has always been touched by the affection of the people in his hometown who have protected and supported him and his family. Therefore, he decided to take care of his hometown whenever he finds some "leisure."

Singer Park Seo-jin, who performs with the unique concept of combining janggu and trot, is gaining popularity as the "God of Janggu" and is called the next-generation trot crown prince.
