[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City and Good Neighbors Yeongnam Regional Headquarters will hold the "4th Busan Children's Day Commemoration Event" at 4 p.m. on the 16th at Busan City Hall's children's complex cultural space "Deullaknallak."

Busan City designates the third Wednesday of November every year as "Children's Day" to spread a culture of respecting children's rights and to provide a venue for children's participation.

The ceremony will proceed in the order of ▲reading the Children's Rights Charter ▲awarding exemplary children and contributors to creating a child-friendly city ▲children's participation organization performance presentation "Children's Rights Talk Talk."

During the Children's Rights Talk Talk session, elementary, middle, and high school students from Busan City who have been active in children's participation organizations throughout 2022 will present ▲the Children's Rights Guarantee and Children's Rights Guide ▲policy proposals from the Children's Participation Budget Activity Group ▲impressions of the "Let's Play Freely" project.

This year, a free experience booth open to all children will be operated in the first-floor lobby from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and various side events such as a flea market, campaigns to promote children's rights and prevent child abuse, and a photo exhibition of children's participation activities will also be prepared.

The side events will be conducted in a booth-by-booth tour format for children who visit during operating hours without prior reservation.

Visitors can receive a stamp tour ticket at the event entrance, participate in themed free experiences at each booth, and get a completion stamp on the tour ticket. Upon completing the tour, a small souvenir will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "Creating a city where children are happy is nurturing the future of the city," and added, "Busan City will do its best to guarantee children's rights and promote welfare so that it can become a child-friendly city where changes happen when children want."
