He stated, "Strong internal support is necessary to empower floor negotiations, but for even a first-term proportional representative to step forward and tarnish the floor leader is truly arrogant and malicious behavior," adding, "To manage the budget session, negotiations that do not antagonize the opposition are required, so sometimes it is necessary to acknowledge the opposition's criticisms."

This was a criticism of the voices from the party's hardline faction that directly targeted Floor Leader Joo. Mayor Hong said, "Without considering floor strategies and pushing forward solely with hardline stances, how can a minority ruling party overcome the budget session?" He added, "Exercise restraint and establish measures to overcome the budget session centered on Floor Leader Joo. That is the best way to support the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
