[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 14th, the Yeongam-gun Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do announced that it received the Governor of Jeollanam-do Award at the ‘2022 Community Integrated Health Promotion Project Performance Competition.’


This event is hosted by Jeollanam-do and organized by Integrated Health Promotion, evaluating plans, operations, and achievements of integrated health promotion projects across 22 cities and counties to select outstanding institutions.


Yeongam-gun was recognized for encouraging residents to practice healthy lifestyles through various health promotion programs in the public health sector, such as the integrated health promotion project that provided visiting services reflecting community needs and the ‘Health One plus’ project.


Additionally, it was highly praised for its contribution to improving health promotion by establishing a cooperative system with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in the community and providing various health-related projects.


In particular, by actively operating diverse policy projects such as visiting smoking cessation clinics, mobile healthcare, and prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, Yeongam gained positive responses from local residents through integrated management utilizing internal and external resources, including universities in Yeongam and the county’s Job Economy Division.


A public health center official stated, “We will continue to promote integrated health promotion projects necessary for local residents and workers in the area, striving to cultivate health management capabilities and improve health levels to create a healthy community atmosphere.”
